How you should alter your workouts when it's cold outside

Now that temperatures in the Northeast have dipped into freezing, here are a few tips for those of you out there looking to keep active through the season who may not be able or may not want to hit the indoor gym:

  • Dress in layers
  • Avoid cotton clothing while working out
  • Ease yourself into the environment to help adapt to the cold
